What is a Warning and Watch:
Hurricane Warning Area:
Possible landfall predicted within 24 hours. Preparations to protect life and property should be rushed to completion.

Hurricane Watch Area: Possible landfall predicted within 36 hours. Interests in both watch and warning areas should follow recommendations from their local emergency management officials.

Be ready for a hurricane. Power and water outages following the storm could be extensive.
If the storm is coming your way, you should have the following:
1: Several gallons of bottled drinking water
2: A bathtub full of water for sanitary purposes
3: Flashlights with plenty of spare batteries
4: A radio that operates on batteries
5: Non perishable food supplies (and a can-opener)
6: A full tank of gas in the car
7: Cash (No power - - No ATMs)

In preparation, board up windows and bring in all yard furniture. Secure movable objects/boats/grills/etc. that can not be brought inside.
